Blick unter die Haube: Interne Strukturen von PDF-Dokumenten mit pdfaPilot Version 6
Die callas software GmbH hat die Version 6 ihrer Softwarelösung pdfaPilot freigegeben. Bestandteil des neuen Releases ist ein Objekt-Inspektor, mit dem Anwender die interne Struktur von PDF-Dokumenten analysieren können. Ebenfalls dazugekommen ist die Möglichkeit, GiroCodes bei der Erzeugung ZUGFeRD-kompatibler Rechnungen mit aufzunehmen, Dokumente gleichzeitig nach PDF/A und PDF/X zu konvertieren, sowie eine verbesserte Unterstützung von PDF/UA, dem ISO-Format für eine barrierefreie Darstellung von PDF-Dateien. Darüber hinaus sind nun Übersichtsseiten, die die Inhalte einer PDF/A-3-Datei darstellen, individuell anpassbar. callas pdfaPilot zählt zu den führenden Lösungen für die Konvertierung und Validierung von PDF-Dokumenten. Die Software basiert auf derselben PDF/A-Technologie, die Adobe in Acrobat verwendet. Ein sogenannter Objekt-Inspektor ist ab der Version 6 Bestandteil von pdfaPilot Desktop. Er erlaubt einen Blick auf die interne Struktur von PDF-Dateien. Anwender erhalten detaillierte Informationen über die Eigenschaften von einzelnen Objekten wie beispielsweise Farbe oder Bildauflösung.
Lieferanten können mit dem neuen Release ihre ZUGFerD-konformen Rechnungen optional mit einem GiroCode versehen. Dabei handelt es sich um einen QR-Code, in dem alle zahlungsrelevanten Daten, also Empfänger, IBAN, BIC, Betrag und Verwendungszweck enthalten sind. Der Kunde liest diesen über eine entsprechende App aus und die Daten werden automatisch in das Überweisungsformular übertragen.
Neu ist die gleichzeitige Konvertierung von Dokumenten nach PDF/A und PDF/X. Anwendern steht somit komfortabel sowohl ein langzeitarchivtaugliches als auch ein druckaufbereitetes PDF zur Verfügung. Zusätzlich hat callas software die Unterstützung von PDF/UA vervollständigt. Dazu ist in pdfaPilot die Software pdfGoHTML integriert, die die Dokumentstruktur samt Lesereihenfolge und Alternativtexten für Bilder in einer leicht verständlichen Schnelldiagnose-Ansicht mit farblichen Markierungen wiedergibt. Die PDF/UA-Prüfung kann dadurch sowohl den maschinellen als auch den interaktiv zu kontrollierenden Teil umfassen. Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss ist eine Protokollierung mit pdfaPilot möglich.
Eine weitere neue Funktion betrifft den dritten Normteil von PDF/A, der das Einbetten beliebiger Dateien erlaubt, die von pdfaPilot dann auf einer Übersichtsseite aufgelistet werden können. Mit pdfaPilot 6 können Anwender über HTML-Templates diese Übersichtsseite individuell anpassen und beispielsweise ihr Firmenlogo aufnehmen oder Umfang und Art der dargestellten Daten beeinflussen.
Preise und Verfügbarkeit
callas pdfaPilot 6 ist ab sofort in zwei Versionen verfügbar:
- Der callas pdfaPilot Server kostet 4.499 Euro zzgl. MwSt. und beinhaltet eine vollständige Hotfolder-Schnittstelle und ein Kommandozeilen-Werkzeug (CLI). Die Serverkomponenten unterstützen Multiprozessor-Umgebungen bei der Konvertierung und Validierung von PDF/A-Dateien. Für pdfaPilot Server ist der Abschluss eines Software-Wartungsvertrags obligatorisch.
- Der callas pdfaPilot Desktop kostet 379 Euro zzgl. MwSt.. Er verarbeitet einzelne Dokumente oder bei Nutzung der Stapelfunktion komplette Ordner. Als Plug-in für Adobe Acrobat oder als schnelle Einzelapplikation beinhaltet der callas pdfaPilot zahlreiche nützliche Tools, um Dokumente PDF/A-kompatibel zu machen oder an weitere Anforderungen anzupassen.
